This year’s annual Pine Glen Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, March 29th. We are once again holding a popular stage raffle in the cafetorium where dozens of gift certificates, new items, and gift baskets are raffled off at the end of the day.
We would like to invite you to participate as a class this year by organizing a raffle basket or item. Last year, there were wonderful and creative donations made. Any theme is welcome. Our goal is to have the items on display in the school by mid-March to encourage donations and participation in the raffle.
If you have a room parent to pass this on, great! If not, perhaps a team of parents can help out. We don’t want any one person to assume the entire cost of the raffle donation. Rather, it should be a shared class expense if you decide to participate. As always, participation is optional.
If you decide to participate, please label your donation and include classroom teacher, room number and title of gift. Also, please let the raffle chair listed below know about your intended donation.
The money raised through the carnival will benefit Pine Glen in various ways. It will be used to purchase books, instructional materials and playground equipment. In addition, funds will be used to sponsor educational field trips and enrichment programs the town is unable to fund.
