Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am pleased to welcome you and your child to Pine Glen School. The Pine Glen Kindergarten Staff is an experienced and talented group of professionals. They include teachers/assistants, Mrs. Melissa Parnell/ Mrs. Karen Hoyt, Mrs. Elaine Babajtis/ Mrs. Stacey Gordon, and Mrs. Karen Potts/ Miss Melissa Hanafin. The staff is eager to meet with you and your child, and has scheduled an orientation visit. The K staff will meet with parents and incoming kindergartners on Thursday, September 8th from 8:45-10:00 a.m.
The purpose of this visit is to bridge the gap between home and school. Your child will have a chance to come to school, meet the teachers, view the room, experiment with materials, and play with classmates. You and your child will experience this together, making for a smooth transition. Please be advised that you will be completing paper work while you are here for your visit. Emergency contact phone numbers along with doctors/dentist contact information will be needed.
During your visit, the teachers will provide you with additional information. They will also be able to answer questions about lunch, field trips, and bus procedures.
The first regular school day for kindergarten is Monday, September 12th.
