Dear Parents,
In the past two weeks we have had students with the stomach virus, strep throat, and Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. Mrs. Ferrick, our school nurse, and I are writing to request your assistance in reminding everyone the importance of careful handwashing. The Center for Disease Control recommends that hands are lathered for 20 seconds and rinsed with warm water. Some students like to sing “Happy Birthday” while they wash to make sure they have spent enough time. Also, with winter weather not too far away, please encourage students not to share hats.
