The fifth grade Cedardale field trip will be held on Friday, June 4 (rain or shine), in Groveland, Ma. At Cedardale the children will be able to enjoy many activities such as swimming, tennis, volleyball, softball, basketball, horseshoes and miniature golf. They will need a $1.00 deposit to play miniature golf.
The bus will depart Pine Glen at 8:45 a.m. and return to the school at 3:00 p.m.
Parents will need to provide transportation from Pine Glen to home for their children. Please plan to be at the school on time.
The cost of the field trip is $17.00 per child, which includes admission and unlimited drinks.
All children will need sunscreen, a bathing suitsuit if they plan on swimming (changing rooms are provided), towel, sport’s equipment like a tennis racket or baseball glove if they plan on playing, a disposable lunch with snacks, and $1.00 for miniature golf (unlimited play).
All parents interested in chaperoning, will need to provide their own transportation to Groveland. See directions below.
DIRECTIONS: Take interstate 95 North to Exit 54B (Rt. 133 West Georgetown). At the top of the ramp turn right (the only choice) to the center of Georgetown. In Georgetown center turn right at the set of lights onto North St. Take the first left onto Pond St. (across from the red brick Perley School). Follow Pond St. approximately 1.7 miles, through a residential area. At the next stop sign you will bare left (around an island) and then left again onto Bare Hill Rd. It is on Bare Hill Rd. approximately 9/10 of a mile on the right.
Permission slip and money must be returned by May 14, 2010.
***Burlington School Policy requires all volunteers to be CORI checked. It can take up to 3 weeks to process a CORI form, so please don’t hesitate so you will be able to attend this wonderful field trip!***
