First Grade Author's Breakfast
Mrs. Hayes, Mrs. Bourgeois, and Ms. Mills hosted an Author's Breakfast in each of the first grade classrooms this morning. I am so proud of all the first graders and the terrific growth they have showed in their writing throughout the school year.

Family Day and Flag Day
Mrs. Parnell and Mrs. Hoyt combined Family Day and Flag Day today. The kindergartners greatly enjoyed sharing their work. It is amazing to see the growth kindergartners make over a year.

Summer Reading
Ms. Amanda from the Burlington Public Library visited us at Pine Glen Elementary today. She talked about summer reading and visiting the library this summer.
Unique Game Show
Students had the opportunity yesterday to participate in the Unique Game Show. This fantastic enrichment was made possible by the PTO.

Grade 5 Moving Up Ceremony
Please join us Friday, June 17th at 9:00 as we celebrate and acknowledge your child’s completion of 5th grade here at Pine Glen. At this ceremony students will receive a moving up certificate and perform for you. Later that day students will receive their fifth grade yearbook and will be given time to have classmates sign their books. Thank you to the Yearbook parents for their tireless work putting this book together.

Bat
This morning we had a visitor. A tiny bat found its way into Pine Glen. Ms. Pavlicek from the Burlington Science Center was able to help us make sure the bat was released back into its habitat without injury.
