In September, the fifth grade is going to Camp Bournedale in Plymouth, MA!!
Francis Wyman and Pine Glen are going September 12-13.
Camp Bournedale is an overnight, nature-based camp committed to providing
schools with exciting, enriching and rewarding educational and social experiences.
The unparalleled opportunities for hands-on science, social studies, health, and
physical education provide tangible learning experiences for every student.
Over the last several years, we’ve had a great turnout and we hope that the word continues to spread on how beneficial this experience is for all fifth grade students. We really urge all current fourth (almost fifth!) grade parents in Burlington to attend this informational meeting!!!

Math and Social Studies
In a cross curriculum lesson combining math, computer science, and social studies students in Ms. Anderson's second grade classroom used estimation to first predict the distance between two points on the map. They then wrote code and had their robots travel the distance. The Milo WeDo2.0 (the robot) was built out of Legos.
Giant Map
Ms. Anderson's s second grade class used a giant map today to study Asia. Ms. Anderson and I took a selfie in Thailand.
