Grade 5

Today during my walkthrough's I saw Mrs. Fitzpatrick working with a guided reading group. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was showing her students how to distinguish between main ideas and details with nonfiction text. Her students were also learning how to take notes in a two column note style which is a critical skill for higher education.

Career Day

As an all school reward day for earning Hoot Cards, Pine Glen had career day today. Students dressed in outfits showing what career they would like to have when they grow up. Staff dressed up as what career they might be doing if they were not in education.
