PTO Board Elections for 2016 - 2017
PTO Board Elections for 2016-17by Pine Glen PTO |
Families,
It is that time of year again! As the weather gets warmer it is time to select our PTO Board for next year.
We will be having a last PTO meeting of the year soon - date TBD in order to hold elections.
WE NEED YOU!!
We all know the saying... "It takes a village!" ....it really does and the more interest in the PTO that we can get, the more we can do for our/your children.
A full PTO board consists of: 2 Co-Presidents, 2 Vice-Presidents (Principal serves as one), 1 Secretary and 1 Treasurer.
In addition to the full board positions it would be great to have:
Membership Coordinator: to assist with attendance at meetings and learning what the families want to know from the PTO.
Fundraising Coordinator: to assist the VP with organizing fundraising committees and generating new, fun fundraising ideas.
Communications Coordinator: to assist in managing the Blog Posts, Facebook Page and newsletter type emails.

Remember - the more parents/families we have involved, the easier the job! We try to split the duties to ensure that no one is "buried in PTO obligations"!
Can you spare 1-2 hours per month? Join us - without a PTO our children would be missing out on so much fun like the Carnival, Walk-a-thon, lower cost Field Trips, 5 Star General Awards, t-shirts for Kindergarten and 5th grades and in school enrichment programs....to name a few....
Interested? Download the nomination form or send an email to PineGlenElementaryPTO@gmail. com with your name and the seat you are interested in.
We look forward to having you!
Arts & Technology Night
Enhancing Student Learning With Technology
Pine Glen's annual Arts & Technology night is an eventful evening showcasing our students' many talents. On behalf of our librarian Miss Carney, and myself, Mrs. Ardizzoni, we would like to share our Google Slides presentation highlighting our students learning using technology, digital citizenship, STEM skills, and digital literacy skills across all of our elementary grade levels. Feel free to pause any slide in order to scan a qr code to access student work or to click the play button to watch a video. Take a peek at what our students have accomplished! As their teachers we are very proud of them!

Principal Brooke Naddaff
My name is Brooke Naddaff and I was the principal at Pine Glen Elementary today. I did walk-through's of all the classrooms. It was a lot of fun.
